Default Eastern Conference

What's going on with the Eastern Conference? They now only have 5
teams with a winning record? It looked like the conference was doing really good to start the year.

The West has the bulk of the terrible teams, creating more opportunity for the good teams out there to pad their records. The East is remarkably even, past the 3 standout teams.
Worst 6 WC teams - 36-117(.235)
Worst 6 EC teams - 53-98(.351)
It also doesn't help the parity in the east that the top 3 are 65-12(.844), compared to the top 3 in the West, with that mark being 53-18(.746)

Why only the worst 6? why not losing records teams? Also not trying to argue better conference here. I just noticed the east was droping fast after great start.

Peace

Didn't feel like calculating any more than I already did, so I kept the size small enough to illustrate my point without spending too much time.
I also forgot to mention that Toronto and Philadelphia have performed below expectations for whatever reasons.

The east only has 3 legit teams. You COULD argue the top 2 are the best. But overall, it drops off hard after Orlando.

Depends on your standards, I suppose.
If Orlando isn't legit, only 3 teams can really be considered so.

Lots of people have been arguing that the East is superior because the bottom of the west is so bad. The east will still send sub 500 teams to the playoffs while the West will feature real ball clubs in the post season.

East is doing well at the very top and near their bottom, but in between they lack the substance the west has.

I'd agree with that. The East has far greater parity (after Cleveland and Boston). Give me any pretty much any two EC teams, other than those top two, in a 7 game series who really knows who would win.

West has a greater number of contenders though.

Over the past week or so, East has come out on top of some of the West "elites"

Orlando beat, Portland, Spurs and the Lakers

Miami beat the Lakers

Bulls beat Utah

Cavs beat Denver

Nets beat Dallas

Boston beat Utah and Portland

Let's not forget Boston's only home loss of the season.

didn't i just say top 2? meaning hornets and lakers.
im surprised u were able to type that sentence you seem very dyslexic to me.
rockets are a pretender team much like the mavs suns and nuggets. spurs? so over the hill. but i'll give them the benefit of the doubt. only because its been two years since they won there last chip
