Anyone remember the story prior to last season when a fatass 40+ year-old Patrick Ewing "schooled" Dwight Howard, who went on to average 21 and 14 on 60% shooting over the season? Well, you would be a very optimistic if you think that Ewing would average one third of those numbers.
To be honest, I don't remember this story. I still don't think that Ewing was receiving official inviatations from teams to return to action the way Wilt was (and this isn't a myth, there are extracts from the late 70's, 80's and even early 90's talking about teams being interested in signing 40-50 year-old Wilt, you can find references in Google Archive searching).
I'm not sure how a thread about Wilt came to become a current guard comparison thread, but I find it humorous that some people evidently think the GM of the Heat should be trying to trade Wade for Manu straight up.
