Default Motown from Downtown is a good player. Why didn't Orlando keep him?

9.7PPG 49.6%FG 49.1%3pt 4.1RPG in 26MPG coming into tonight

He totaled 19 points and 9 rebounds tonight and has made some key shots this year despite the Hawks increasing mediocre play overall. Why didn't Orlando keep him? He comes cheap and would be good off Orlando's not so great bench.

I'm talking about Mo Evans.

Only enough money for so many sg's. Pietrus, Redick, Lee, Hedo over there sometimes. Easiest one to get rid of was the one whose contract was up.

Mo Evans is not a good player. There's a reason he's been on a ton of teams. He can't play defense, he can't penetrate, he can't pass, he can't finish, he is an average rebounder, and a streaky shooter at best.

He can't really do anything real good. Just gets hot from 3 point land occasionally like 100 other players in the NBA.

His play SO FAR suggests otherwise. Not a great player by any stretch. But if he continues to play like he has so far that would be great. Career wise he shoots 38% in 3's. That's fairly good. 10PPG on 48% shooting is pretty effective. Not as good of a defender as I was hoping, but he gives the spark off the bench alot of nights. He also don't turn the ball over. Which is a good thing.
