Default Chris Bosh:'MVP or Bust'

Quote:
Chris Bosh has a secret he has been keeping from his fans.

He wants to be the league MVP. Not in three seasons. Not next season. This season.

When he revealed this before three or four cameras and as many notepads and microphones following yesterday's morning practice, no one was 100% sure he was being completely serious.

Bosh made himself perfectly clear when he answered the follow up "Realistic?" query with his best, "Do I look like I'm kidding?" stare.

"Very realistic. I wouldn't talk about it if it wasn't real," he said.

According to Bosh, he first starting thinking seriously about this goal in the pre- season.

He is playing like an MVP unfortunately for him there are players like James, Paul and Kobe in the association. but he is looking like the best PF by far... deffinently one of my favorite players

Best PF in the NBA, but Sorry Chris they MVP Trophy will always be awarded to the best player of a contending team.

Chris Bosh is currently averaging 28 ppg, 10.5 rpg, on 55 FG %

Bosh has been the best BIG MAN in the NBA, not just PF, so far this season. He has done everything for Toronto, of course playing in Canada doesn't help him in getting the proper exposure.

He deserves it, Bosh has been the BEST player in the league so far this year. Just doesn't get the hype playing up in Toronto.

Did you forget Wade and LeBron, both are playing better then Bosh.

Bosh has shown this year that he is one of the few players in the NBA currently who is good enough individually to win the MVP, but that's only one part of it, he needs to add team success in order to actually win.

You can arguably say CP3 played better than Kobe last year but Kobe still won... you never know...

I don't see what those guys are doing that he Isn't. Bosh has been putting his team on his back EVERY single night with his supporting cast struggling. Lebron has the team success on Bosh, but I don't see the Cavs keeping up at this pace. Also expecting the Raps to pick it up soon and be a top 4 team in the east.

Keep in mind I'm not saying Bosh is a better player than Bron/Wade. Just that he's been playing better 15 games into the year.

It's a lofty goal, and the Raptors will have to have one of the top 4 records in the East for it to happen (team success counts a lot). It warms my heart to think what will happen if Bosh goes for MVP, stays healthy, and the rest of the team stays healthy and gives Bosh some help.

But when you think about it based on performance RIGHT NOW, only Lebron and Wade are ahead of him. And the Heat will have a worse record than the Raptors unless they move Marion for a legit center. So you could say that right now, Bosh is only behind Lebron in the MVP race. That could change if the Raptors start losing or Bosh's production dips, or when one of Amare, Kobe, CP3, D-Will, Dirk, Dwight, KG or PP, etc. starts to tear the league up.

And even if the Raptors record doesn't get him the MVP, he could walk away with a scoring title, although Wade is looking more likely there.

He's going to beat KG in the NBA First Team if the Raptors win 48-49 games this year.
