Can't say that. An accomplished player isn't considered a dud. Was Alonzo Mourning a dud? The proper term would more be falling off.

Luke Walton unfortunately fits this bill to perfection. He's still got the ability to come back and contribute, but I'm afraid it's not going to be on this current roster.

not saying he was a stud, but Desegana Diops game has regressed to the point that 6'8 James Singleton is stealing his backup C PT. For a dude that is only there to play D and block shots, he has looked completely out of it so far.

Damon Stoudamire comes to mind when I see this topic. He had a nice career, but he really came out and produced very well at first. I think people expected him to end up better that what he ended up being.

Dunleavy benching him for Greg Anthony during crunch time in the playoffs (IIRC) made him lose his confidence IMO.

boobie isnt shooting like he was in his rookie season but it's mostly because of his injury last year. After he got injured he never was the same shooter.

I was talking about Malik Rose in another thread - he was a very serviceable back-up on 1 or 2 of those early Spurs championship teams, but lately he's just been bad. Really really bad.

For a hustle player it's not the same to play for a contender than for the Knicks.
And then, there's the Duncan factor...

One mediocre move isn't going to get him anywhere. He's still a spot up shooter at heart.
