This equates to Kaman and Eric Gordon for JayRich.... Which is... HORRIBLE for the Clippers...

No way. To fix that trade, step 1 is Clippers keeping Gordon. step 2, keeping the Wolves pick, step 3, getting an unprotected first. With how EJ is performing on the defensive end, and his willingness to attack, no way in hell we add him with Kaman. Mainly in a deal where we give up the best player and prospect.

BUMP

Switched out Gordon with Ricky Davis, and turned the 1st round pick into a 2nd rounder (which with Charlotte is almost a late 1st round pick)

Why Philly does it: Because Dalembert/Brand haven't found their chemistry. Kaman/Brand have played together before and Kaman provides just as many blocks as Dalembert, if not more. Matt Carroll is struggling from 3 this year but he's a proven shooter which Philly lacks.

Why Los Angeles does it: With the Randolph trade, there's a lack of minutes in the frontcourt, and Eric Gordon is their only 2 guard. JRich is a proven 18-20 ppg scorer. Jason Smith is out for the year, but he averaged 5/3 as a rookie and will help the loss of Kaman next year. Charlotte's 2nd round pick is almost like a late 1st round pick.

Why Charlotte does it: With rumors of Charlotte ready to blow up the team, it seems they would start with their highest paid player. Dalembert would give them that starting center beside Okafor that they didn't get in the draft. They get rid of Carroll's 5 year/25 mil contract that they most likely regret now.

Why Charlotte doesn't do it:

Dalembert is a bigger and less talented version of Okafor. Strong on the boards, good defender and offensively challenged. Okafor and Dalembert don't complement each other at all.

Pretty interesting trade, but I do not see the Bobcats trading their best offensive player for a defensive minded center and Ricky Davis.

that's not unreasonable, but I think Charlotte gets the short end of that one. Not a fan of Ricky Davis.
