Default Top 5 players not in the Hall of Fame

ITs a shame that these guys are not in the HOF and the leauge should hold a special induction for this five and induct them in this order

1 Bernard King a top 5 scoring sf ever. He destroyed Bird and the celtics in the playoffs and if it wasnt for injuries we might be calling him a top 5 overall sf.

2 Dennis Rodman the best rebounding defending f of all time he's not in because he was an embarsesment to the league

3 Artis Gilmore its called the basketball hall of fame he did it in college in the ABA and the NBA and had a better overall career than Walton

4 Dennis Johnson was a important part on 2 differnt championship teams and a great defender

5 Jo Jo White was just as important to the Celtics as Hondo and Cowens and lead his college team to a finals.

Rodman isn't eligible yet, so take him off the list and add ...

SIDNEY MONCRIEF: Was the best player on those great '80's Bucks teams to went to Three Eastern Conference Finals. Won the first two NBA DPOYS (the only perimeter player to win twice.) Was a Five Time All-Star and Five Time All-NBA Team (including one 1st team selection) also Five-Time All-NBA Defensive 1st teamer.

No argument from me. Watching Bernard in person was an awesome experience. The fact that he suffered a catastrophic leg injury, then came back to play at an All-star level still amazes me. He is the best player who should be in the Hall, no doubt.

As somebody already mentioned, Dennis isn't eligible yet. I'm lukewarm on Artis, DJ and Jo Jo. They were definitely standout players, but I'm not sure any reached the HOF level.

He kicked a camera man in the crotch, refused to leave the court on a few occasions and was the king of ejections . He was a freakshow, and it made it even more disturbing that he went of his way to appear to be one.

Great defensive player and rebounder but you could make the argument that he was an embarrassment.

I can agree to disagree with you on JO Jo but DJ should be in even larry Bird said how good DJ was. He was one of the most complete Guards in the history of the game.
Artis is a poor mans Jabbar and since jabbar is a top 3 center thats not bad

Good top-5. I'll have Gilmore @ #1, though, and King at 2. Gilmore played for 20 seasons, including his seasons at college and Italy, scored overall more than 28,000 points and grabbed close to 20,000 rebounds and constrary to King, he was an Ironman (12 complete seasons in ABA-NBA).
Also, King didn't "destroy" Bird in the '84 playoffs. Actually, he was "held" to around 28-29 ppg in that series (he averaged about 42 vs the Pistons), while Bird averaged something more than 30/10/7.
