What is your point? They have proven that those THREE games were no fluke. The Cavs are an elite defensive team who have the potential to play well when their star is not.

They started off 4-1 two years ago and finished with like 30 wins. I understand that people are fickle. They get sucked into believing garbage really easily. If Josh Smith makes the difference you people think he does, they should give him the MVP. I mean seriously. It's laughable at how overrated he is.

What did they do in the Boston game? Where was Josh Smith's outstanding defense in the games in Boston? Where was the game changing plays then? Honestly, most of it was in Boston's head.

Yeah that's definitely the best part And Gibson is struggling too. That might have to do with all the added muscle from the offseason. That's never good for your shot ...

It is laughable how much you hate this team. Right now it looks like they are going to be 9-5 and that is with them playing missing one of their top player for 6 games. They are looking pretty good to me.

Read my original post about that you idiot I was talking about the Cavs being able to play well when LeBron was playing poorly against Boston.

You'll find out when they have a losing record by the allstar break. They haven't had a winning season in a decade in a while and there is a reason for that. They still

-Have a garbage offense that relies on alot of undependable 3pt shots.
-Have a horrible defensive backcourt.
-Have no center
-No Post scorer
-No big men off the bench
-No quality backup PG
-Poor head coaching
-Poor fundamentals

You don't win long term in the NBA with all of these problems.

Tonight is an example of what happens when all those 3's don't go in and you have no post game.

I don't really give a damn.

The Hawks suck. A couple of playoff games and a freak streak doesn't change that. All you can do to defend them is just repeat that a below allstar level player being out is the reason they're sucking. I just gave you a whole list of reasons why the Hawks aren't going to win long term.

Josh Smith played in plenty of games last year and they only won 37 games. You can hand out this "they got confidence" after the Boston series. But once they lost that first game... all that "confidence" totally disappeared. That's the sign of a team that doesn't have what it take sto win long term. The confidence was taken away with ONE loss. A mentality fragile team.

Why the Atlanta Hawks have a bright future:

Josh Smith is 22 years old and has already shown he has the potential to be a very good defender in this league.

Marvin Williams is 22 years old, and has been improving on both ends of the floor since coming into the year.

Joe Johnson is 27 years old and has proven he can play with any star in the league.

Al Horford is 22 years old and is a consistent 10/10 guy who is improving has showing an improved defensive effort since last season.

The Hawks have 23+ Million in expiring contracts this year.

The Hawks have 25+ Million in expiring contracts next year.
