T-mac had stacked rosters in Houston and STILL couldn't make it out the 1st round.

He did with the Suns in 2000, was actually a great player that year.

    Technically, he did in 2009.

    T-Mac was the original Lebron.

Crazy usage and ball domination, lacking fundamentals.

    Penny was the original Doncic.

Not everyone has Chris Paul to carry them through the playoffs.

This is not even a debate.

    Penny was always overrated.

As a Memphian who has followed Penny's career since high school, who is also watching him single handedly make our alma mater relevant again, it pains me to have to say T-Mac. I wish that we could have seen at least three more seasons of prime, injury free Penny. Then my answer may have been different.

BTW... What's with the "Let's settle this once and for all"? I have never known this to be a hotly contested comparison. As a matter of fact, I have never once heard this debate.

I know Magic fans argue this one often. Two very similar players and whose prime has been cut short by injuries.

In the end its closer than you think. Both could do everything at an elite level. But Penny was slightly more predisposed to create for others, while TMac was more of a scorer.

But if it wasn't for Penny, there would have been no TMac. Penny was his idol. He was the idol of so many, which was crazy for a guy that was there basically for just two seasons.
