Default Was Lebron really always just a statpadder?

Came into the league shooting very low percentages.

For many years shot like 30% on jumpers.

Then went to Miami focused on dunks in open transition.

This supposedly "superstar" is a wing that can't hit 35% from 3 and can't hit 75% from the FT line.

Fails the first time in the West, doesn't make the playoffs.

Was it all a mirage? Did the NBA lie to us?

Not always. It was around 2008 that he started to go down hill with the stat padding. Once the NBA finally realized that this guy would never be close to MJ, they went full fraud prop up mode. It's so fvcking comical because now they are a laughing stock with bran sitting at a 3/9 finals record and failing to make the playoffs in he west.

    I agree.

The first couple years, he was at least out there trying, shooting, failing.

Since then he hasn't really been playing to win, but to maximize stats, as witnessed by his 2011 finals.

He's an ATG, but still lacking the absolute best when it comes to basketball skills, particularly shooting and scoring repertoire. He's able to be limited, if a team knows how. Been that way throughout his career.

TIL: taking high-percentage shots = "stat padding"

Why did MJ shoot .189 from 3
