Kobe has only played 15 seasons in which he has played more than 60 games. In 2013-14, he only played 6 games. Why does the OP count these?

Nobody disagrees with this. Equating it to a 73 point game is very different though. Particularly given that opponents often give Kobe the green light because it makes sense strategically to let somebody as inefficient as him shoot a lot. You give somebody enough space game after game and he is eventually going to have a good night.
