It's not that Howard gets worse in crunch time per se, it's just that his FT shooting becomes much more problematic in games close and late. So yeah, that hurts the Lakers in the "clutch", but I think it's important to note that it doesn't make D12 a "choker" because he's always shitty at FT's.

Heat closing lineups won't have any bad FT shooters, although LBJ, Wade and Chalmers are all streaky at the FT line

Heat probably have more clutch guys, but you can't go wrong with Nash on the floor and 3 other top scorers for him to pass to. Plus lets not forget the guy who only makes his shot when we need it the most

As we've seen in the 2010 playoffs

It doesn't matter how clutch Wade and Lebron are, because Artest and Kobe neutralize their opponents in clutch situations.

It's very unlikely MWP can still bother LeBron enough to make a difference, especially given the level LBJ has reached.

Disagree.

I think with the leeway given to MWP because of having Howard and Gasol behind him to go with the fact that Lebron is not really supposed to be taking jumpers gets him just enough to be a problem.

MWP still has the quickest hands in the league and he's one guy who's not just going to let himself be bullied.

With Howard behind him cleaning up that spells trouble.

Just Kobe is more clutch than the entire Heat team... don't ask stupid questions.

Artest is such a confident defender out there, especially when he guards top notch SFs. And since he's lost those pounds, he has the speed. Its the closest thing there is to Lebron having a kryptonite- A veteran defender that doesn't get intimidated by him and could keep up with him on the perimeter end.

Look back at Lebron vs the Celtics and you'll see what confident defenders can do to Lebron's game. Artest is gonna make him strictly a passer if they meet in the finals.

And Wade? Well lets just say Kobe will guard Wade even better:

If there was ever a modern team constructed to defeat the Heat, its this squad.

They've been there before.

However, I'll never count out a team that has Kobe Bryant on it. Especially not at the end of games. And i'm not taking buzzer beaters, i'm talking clutch baskets. if lakers need a clutch basket, steal or defense for a few possessions near the end, that's where kobe thrives. especially under pressure. last year was a down, off year for him, due to the lack of offensive structure. I expect him to return to his usual this year though.

This. I felt like last year Kobe wore himself out too much come playoff time and was unable to perform to hs fullest in clutch moments. He'll let Nash handle more of the offensive load this year so he can be scary during deciding moments. Everyone talks about how good Nash makes everyone (a rep well deserved) but people forget how good Kobe can make his pg's as well. Ask Smush and Sesh.

If Kobe lets Nash handle the ball in the clutch, then the Lakers for sure.
