I don't think Ibaka is the difference between 30 point blow outs and winning 4 of 5 against a team that's been destroying you. Ibaka is good but he's not prime Shaq or something.

Plus, in 2012 OKC had this guy named James Harden, and the Spurs were noticeably worse (especially on D). I'm not counting OKC out, but this is a very different situation than 2012

They had Ibaka too back then and OKC been dominating them since 2012 even without Harden. Him. Ibaka is not only their best interior defender he helps space the floor on offense. Your forgetting the SG and C are complete garbage offensively and they get to pack the paint on WB /Durants drive. Also on defense Tony Parker gets to do anything he wants and their is mismatch es all over the floor that Pop is taking advantage of.

sadly this. if he reinjures his calf, he could never be the same again. not even sure why okc is taking the risk. even if they do beat spurs, miami would beat this iso-team in 5 again.

Iam not sure if OKC was trying to play mind games or what but it looks like the Spurs weren't buying that Ibaka was out the rest of the season...

The Spurs won the last game by 35, and they weren't even particularly good in the first half.

If the Thunder somehow manage to come back in the series, it'll be because of Durant and Westbrook's scoring, not semi-injured Ibaka's ability to hit an open midrange jumper.

Ibaka's defense is key here + the extra 10-15 pts he'll give OKC every game.

Spurs have been dominating OKC like this because OKC has no one to protect the rim and keep the Spurs from getting easy layups, their help defense has been extremely atrocious, because they don't have any decent bigs on that end without Ibaka.

I think OKC improves a lot and their morale will rise, KD & Westbrook might get to breathe a little more on D and their home crowd will get them back in this series. I could easily see OKC going into Game 5 tied 2-2 and then it's anyone's series. Game 3 will decide the series, I expect OKC to show up.
