Clearly Kobe. If you are shooting shots you can make, teammates can live with it, but nothing is more frustrating than watching somebody who is worse than you take all the shots.

One was leading a marginally talented team and was a legit MVP candidate on 25/6/5 42% before injury......the other is shooting 30% and taking 18 shots a night on a team that's 2 and 20 or whatever. One played within his capabilities at that point, the other says the end is near but still tries to play like it isn't.

Rip actually credits MJ in helping him become a great off the ball player.

Speaking of... unlike Kobe, MJ never really held the ball much. His game centered around moving without the ball and quick possessions. Most of his possessions came within the flow of the game and not isos.

Hamilton said it indirectly about Jordan stunting his growth. He never said Jordan, and this was when he played for the Pistons a few year later.
