kobe every year
he can't even shoot over 47% EVER
his Career FG% is so low meaning he takes too many shots and depends on phantom calls/his 7 foot teammates to get O boards

NBA rookie of the year

Obviously Kobe.
But no one's left the Team yet or asked for a trade, which I remember another guy doing on the Wizards. But Nick Young is close, already been making snide comments about this "Circus".

Kobe and it's not even close.
Jordan closed out the last ~30 or so games, averaging ~23ppg on 46% shooting. At 40 years of age.

Re: Biggest ball hog, Kobe this year or Jordan with Wizards
Wizards MJ at the age of 38-40:
21.2 ppg, 19.9 PER, .431 fg%, .480 ts%, 5.5 rpg, 4.4 apg, 1.5 spg
Kobe this year at 37:
16.6 ppg, 10.5 PER, .304 fg%, .412 ts%, 3.9 rpg, 3.4 apg, 1.1 spg
MJ was still an All Star level performer and deserved the additional usage because he was still efficient enough. Kobe doesn't warrant the usage and the more he shoots, the more he hurts the team. The Philly game was the perfect example of one guy taking down a team with unwarranted usage due to the terrible shot selections, the kill of offensive flow and terrible efficiency.

Re: Biggest ball hog, Kobe this year or Jordan with Wizards
Kobe has no business taking 18.1 shots per game this year. The more he shoots, the more he hurts his team. He is a guy who should be taking around 13 shots at most. And even beyond the shot attempts, it's the type of shots he's been taking that's more detrimental. The flow killing iso plays with a defender in his face or the 3 pt attempts that's not in rhythm. If Kobe made a better effort to get his shots within the flow, the number of shots taken wouldn't be as detrimental. But his terrible shot selections just makes it that much worse.

Somewhat true, Richard Hamilton said he stunted his growth as a player and Stackhouse thought Jordan was a hog.

You clearly don't know what you're talking about.
Rip actually credits MJ in helping him become a great off the ball player.
Speaking of... unlike Kobe, MJ never really held the ball much. His game centered around moving without the ball and quick possessions. Most of his possessions came within the flow of the game and not isos.

I'd be legitimately interested in hearing the Richard Hamilton quotes. That doesn't seem like him, particularly considering his Jordan Brand affiliation, but crazier things have happened.
Here's what Rip had to say recently, regarding what he learned and Jordan's competitiveness:
[quote]How to be a pro. I think Mitch was probably a top five shooting guard of all time. Michael Jordan: No. 1 shooting guard of all time. And you get an opportunity to watch them, see how they attack practice, carry stuff off the floor. You can study them by asking questions each and every day, on how many shots they give up. Or [you can] guard them in practice and understand what they
