Re: Where the Chris Paul haters at?
Chris Paul said it best after the game, "It's too bad this was a first round series."
If the Clippers lose in the second or third round without making the Finals almost no one will remember this game/series being important.

Who cares what people will remember.
It happened in reality and that is all that matters...perception from the mindless masses that can only ring count really means little.
Paul played an overall tremendous series and a legendary game 7. That matters regardless of what people remember later.

It won't matter if the lose next round or the round after. It'll be an after-thought.
LeBron had the greatest shot in Cavaliers history. The buzzer beater three against Orlando to tie the series 1-1, but no one cares about it because they ultimately lost anyway.

Re: Where the Chris Paul haters at?
Big deal, it was the First Round. Let's just say the Clippers never would have beaten the Spurs in the Second Round or the WCF.
In the first round, everyone is still fresh and healthy. CP3's hamstring acts up in Game 7 of the WCF when he's all tired and he never would have had that performance. First Rounds are an exhibition. Later Rounds are what takes heart, will, and determination. CP3 showed all those last night, but it was the First Round. Spurs have been doing it over and over, that's why they're the 5 Time Champs.
If CP3 reaches the Finals, this series will be remembered forever. Anything less and it will forever be forgotten.

you think any win in basketball "matters"?
It's all perception. We watch basketball to see moments of greatness and this series had it.
Newsflash: NBA basketball doesn't "matter". Period. We watch it for entertainment.

Re: Where the Chris Paul haters at?
great game for cp3, but its all or nothing now.
beat the defending champs.. in the first round.. there are still 3 more rounds to go, and anything BUT a finals appearance would be considered underachieving.

it is for cp3, who MANY consider the greatest PG after magic. you want to be compared to magic? then win something. he's got all the talent, both individually and TEAM wise, along with one of the best headcoaches (supposedly).
no excuses
