Has the "who takes the final shot?" on the GM survey ever been this lopsided?
http://www.nba.com/news/features/joh...vey/index.html
Which player would you want taking a shot with the game on the line?
1. Kevin Durant, Oklahoma City -- 76.9%
2. Kobe Bryant, L.A. Lakers -- 7.7%
Durant did hit some crazy ass game winners last season so I guess It's no surprise The year before he was in the lead only getting 39% of the votes though.

I don't get picked last at the park anymore
Re: Has the "who takes the final shot?" on the GM survey ever been this lopsided?
Kobe probably got 100% of the votes 6-7 years ago srs

Yeah, just picked a year at random - 2007-08 looked like this:
1. Kobe Bryant, L.A. Lakers 88.5%
2. Carmelo Anthony, Denver 3.8%
t-3.Tim Duncan, San Antonio 3.8%
Steve Nash, Phoenix 3.8%
Edit: Bryant was at 88.9% the next year (08-09) but then only around 74% the year prior (06-07).

Also, Pop then:

God damn lol, makes you remember truly how much of a killer Kobe was. I mean he's 36 years old coming off a serious injury and still #2 on the list

In his fairness, Kobe's and LeBron's clutch numbers aren't good either (At least for LeBron in the regular season), but he's not clutch... Few players today I would classify as clutch.
The "Who do you want taking the last shot" is flawed...
Normally you'd want a correct basketball play being run and a shooter taking a somewhat open shot....
Now if you ignore that, go solely ISO situations, self created, then look at all the superstars/high volume guys in these situations, where Dirk/Johnson/Denver Melo have some great percentages...

KD is a great pick, as is a healthy Kobe...
But it's gotta be Damian Lillard for me.
Seriously, off the top of your head, how many playoff buzzer beating game winners can you think of that are better than his from last year's playoffs?

I'll take Durant. Maybe Lillard.

Lillard is a cold mother****er.... I felt that shot going in (Rockets G6)... Plus Westbrook, Dirk, Ginobili, Paul.... I'd roll with them.
