In Harden's last year in OKC, he shot 49 percent from the field with a 66 TS percentage.

He hasn't come close to touching those numbers in Houston.

I won't lie, I find it really weird that you would compare a situation where Harden came into the league as a rookie and developed every year to a situation where Bosh went from 1st option to 3rd.

    No.

Durant and Westbrook were 1 and 2 and got most of the touches/shots. Harden still got to play his game, just in a smaller role off the pine, as well as taking some down-the-stretch pressure off Durant/WB.

LeBron/Wade and Bosh on the other hand, required one of the three to really change the way they played to make the team work. Obviously Bosh was chosen for that, as he was the lesser player of the 3. Now that LeBron is gone and Wade's knees are nearly imploding, Bosh is able to be the focal point of Miami's offense. He can play his game now without having to change it to fit the team. The Bosh we see now is the real Bosh, instead of the jump shooting, screen setting decoy designed to pull attention away from LeBron/Wade we saw in the Big 3 era. I'd much rather LeBron play his game and Bosh step back than vice versa, as LeBron was and is clearly the superior player.

Nah bro, Harden is way better now. Just look at his two playoff series so far in Houston.

Just 4 months later Harden drops 40+ in his debut for Houston, and goes on to average 26 a night and became a legit MVP candidate

Why couldn't he flourish under Durant?

Harden was being guarded by Avery Bradley that night. He doesn't usually shoot that bad. Without free throws, the guy can easily average something like 18 ppg. Last season he averaged 25.4 ppg overall. If he didn't shoot a single free throw that season, his average would've been 17.5 ppg.
