When the Rockets traded Horry and Cassell for Barkley was the worst to me. Even worse than drafting Royce White.

Right after Moses Malone won the MVP, the Rockets traded him... what a shame.
Another bad trade was when we traded Nicolas Batum for Joey Dorsey and Donte Green.

Gail Goodrich for the pick that became Magic Johnson.

Well, starting in 1960 (when they moved to LA), these are pretty bad:
1) Not trading for Wilt in Dec. 64 before Philly did:

2) Trading Kermit Washington and Don Chaney for peanuts:

3) Trading Shaq when they did. I think you had to either trade him a year earlier or slightly later.
4) Trading Butler for Kwame was asinine too (though we got Pau...).
5) Signing D'Antoni as coach, and keeping him on board to **** our tanking up this year.
Some other things that are somewhat minor: trading for Spencer Haywood, Eddie Jones for Glen Rice (Kobe needed more playing time, but I think they could've coexisted), signing van Breda Kolff as coach, not dealing Pau after 2011.

Pretty much sums it up. I would add Odom trade, Lakers could've gotten something better that a TPE.
The Lakers did trade Pau, Stern blocked it though.

Kobe= 1st round loser
Re: What's the worst trade or decision your team has ever made?
In the Lebron Miami era (and slightly before that) these are the worst decisions Miami has made:
1. Refusing to trade for Chalmers and Cole for Vucevic
2. Hiring Spo as HC
3. Drafting Cole over Parsons
4. Signing Joel Anthony to a 18 million dollar contract

Stern is a bitch, but I think they needed to pursue more trades. Then again, maybe they just couldn't move him?
Odom thing sucked at the time too.
