Daniel Hackett Twitter
Daniel Hackett, former USC player, current Euroleague player with Italian team Siena, and current Italian national team player......
He got injured and he can't play for a few weeks. He was sitting on the bench watching his team play in the Italian League. He evidently decided it would be a good idea to get on Twitter and start commenting live during the game on the refs, and to talk about their calls.
This guy was apparently sitting on the team's bench and was sending tweets live during the game about the refs. Saying the refs were screwing up the game, missing calls, "boo at the refs".
Evidently he didn't think anyone would read his Twitter account. Anyway, the Italian media did see it. Hackett then apparently deleted his account, but the media already copied the tweets.
So now his Euroleague team is saying they might cut him (he supposedly makes like $1,000,000 a year in how NBA would count it, with 2 years left after this one on his deal) -
and the Italian basketball federation said that they are considering kicking him off the Italian national team..........
This guy could lose millions, and a place in his country's national team because he was on Twitter.
