Default Steve Nash is old and hurt

I'm tired of looking at his sorry weasel @ss of a guy Steve Nash it's gonna be a long year if pathetic Antoni leaves him at the helm to QB the Lakers offense and his defense we all know is atrocious! Nash should come of the bench if the Lakers want to establish any kind of identity how can you expect Nash to help establish an identity coz identity starts with the first unit. This guy weasels his way in & out of the lineup with his old and ailing back and won't be doing us any good in the 19 back to back this year.

I understand Steve Nash had a good career back to back mvp's as a Sun "props" but them were yesteryear, SHOUT-OUT to Lakers management stop respecting this weasel on our watch he's holding us back and will be again for next year if we don't trade his old @ss coz I'm thinking he ain't gonna opt out by no means damn! It's time to move on Lakers with the youth and athletic players.

Lakers front office Mitch, Jim etc... must of been delusional when they signed this weasel last year to a dreadful 3 long years. This weasel has nothing left in his tank he obviously can't shoot anymore c'mon any PG in the NBA can dribble a basketball and not to mention he's slow approaching 40 y/o and a back problem for the last 5 years and Lakers front office thought this weasel could lead the Lakers c'mon this guy is a sad sad case you can stick a fork in him he's done!

When the Lakers first signed Nash I stated on this board that I thought it was a bad move based on his age. In his last season with Phoenix he was averaging less than 20 minutes per game.

I was surprised at how many on this board attacked me for saying that.

I totally agree with you. I don't care if one out of every 10 games he plays well offensively. The fact is that he can't defend any guard in this league, and winning in the nba is about great defense creating easy offense. Basketball 101.

D'Antoni's loyalty to Nash and unwavering belief in his offensive "system" is really hurting this team. This team is talented enough to challenge any team in this league, but D'antoni is not maxing out on the talent we do have at all. Did this fool really start Shawne Williams in our last game? Come on.

You guys should all be happy that Coach Kinchen is here to save the day. This is our best rotation, since cleary we're not going to trade Nash.

    Farmar/Blake/Nash
    Henry/Meeks/Shannon brown
    Bryant/Young/Lamar Odom
    Hill/Johnson/Kelly
    Gasol/Kaman/Sacre

Nash should be our third-string point guard if we do keep him. He is more of a player-coach at this point in his career than a player. Henry and Bryant will play well together too. And most importantly those first two units have the talent and mix of players to really get after it defensively.

And I am suggesting that we either trade or waive E. Harris and S. Williams and replace them with Shannon Brown and Lamar Odom.

I agree with you 100% on inserting J-Hill in place of Shawn Williams whom I haven't seen him hit 2 in a row from behind the arc that dude is not a shooter and Antoni calls him a stretch 4 get real I question Antoni's integrity as well.I especially like Farmer replacing the weasel at least this way we'll have a everyday starter who we can count on in the lineup. Seriously if Antoni thinks Steve Nash deserves to start than Jordan Farmer he's seriously lacking integrity as a coach. Never did like the hiring of this Antoni guy not only his D's lacking but his coaching strategy in terms of using his player rotationsis left to be desired can't wait for both Mike Antoni and his beloved weasel Steve Nash to leave the Lakers.

Sometimes I trip out about us laker fans, because we see guys every year, come to our team and our words are "hell yeah! Finally! (Blank) puts us over the top! Yeah!"

Then the guy has an injury or doesn't play well and were so damn quick to say

"F this guy! Trade him! We don't need him" (I'm guilty of it too)

Or whatever. Sucks man. We want players to be loyal and faithful to us, but we aren't faithful or loyal or patient for shit. Nash is giving us all he has and more to be on the court for us. He could have easily said he can't go, and said "f it. City of LA wants me out, I'm not going to bust my butt off for them" and he could just milk it, but he doesn't.

Nash is a world class pro. We should appreciate what years he's with us, he can teach the young guys a thing or two.

As fans, we live in the moment too much. We forget that this season was a "wash" anyway. Seeing as how we have a roster full of minimum contracts and young, unproven guys or too old guys that nobody wants with a coach who isn't known for his championship pedigree. We forget that we didn't realistically see this team doing anything but what happened ??

THIS TEAM WORKED THEIR ASS OFF AND PLAYED SOME GREAT BASKETBALL AND PLAYED AT A LEVEL HIGHER THAN THE SUM OF THIER PARTS. They played..... Like a team. We should appreciate that and be patient. Kobe's not even back yet.

In his last season he averaged 31 mpg and 12.5ppg/10apg 53%/39%/90%. He was very productive and healthy the entire year. Maybe thats why you were attacked.

I hear ya on this. Being Lakers fans, we are very spoiled. Lakers seem to always be successful so naturally we are going to always expect big things. I think many of us are just frustrated that Nash did not work out and is really a shell of what he was just 2 years ago. Lakers hadn't had a good pg in some time and to get a class act 2x MVP, I was very excited. And to see it not pan out, its tough to not be disappointed. I have nothing but respect for Nash and how he has carried himself, but what I really want to see is production on the floor, regardless of who it is. Nash is a great guy, a guy you want in the locker room, but when you don't produce, then you are going to get criticism.

First of all Lakers management needs to be criticized and take the heat for signing a slow 38 y/o with a history of back problems the past 5 years not to mention his reputation around the league for his lack of defense yet Lakers still signed him to a 3 year contract ? Secondly what Nash has done winning 2 MVP's is now a past tense and frankly he hasn't done enough on our watch to give him that kind of respect so if he's still chasing that lucrative NBA paycheck then he'll have to take the criticism that comes with being a professional athlete not knowing when to retire in his winding years. Furthermore since signing him has been a recipe for disaster hurting himself only after a couple of games needing to be placed on the IL this guy started the season hurt, doesn't play games on back to back nights then weaseled his way in & out of the lineup only to be back on the IL twice more during the year if that wasn't enough he ended the season hurt again when the team needed him right before the playoffs.

Nonetheless if you like giving respect to old injury prone all-star players of yesteryear then go ahead but I for one thinks that Nash is Trash!Basketball is a game of competition we need to put the kind of product on the court that can produce on a regular basis not taking nights off that's what they get paid for to tough it out not for weaseling out and being a great guy in the locker room.

Didn't I point out in my post that although i respect nash and what he has done, I only care about production on the floor and he hasn't produced? Didnt I point out how disappointing his time in LA has been? Im basically on the same page as you.

it was Jim Buss's idea to sign nash...I dont know why the fcuk they gave him the 3rd year when kobe/pau and everybody else is expiring this yr...

Nash has produced ZERO on the court....for the lakers...

Its painful to watch him now. Not bc of his production, but because its just sad to see him fall so hard. This does not seem like a injury that's going away anytime soon. If he is going to pay this year, he will have to deal with the pain and issues he has now. I can see him hanging it up depending on what the back specialist says.
