He wasn't that bad for the heat, injury wise.. Didn't really get a chance to play much

Because of his injuries.
His knees swelled up constantly. That's why he played 5-10 garbage minutes most of the time. He pretty much fouled every other play play as well. Dude is done and should just give up.

Ok interesting.. Didn't know about the constant swelling.
I don't think he should quit though, if there's something left in the tank he should give it a go..
Get on it Mitch can't hurt for the minimum, if he's done just cut him..

he wasn't actually that bad with miami, spo just had no time to integrate him into the rotation for some reason.

The Hawks should give him a 10 day contract.

If he loves basketball, I don't see any reason why he shouldn't work towards returning to the court until he's in his mid-30's.

I have followed his return closely as it was interesting for me to see if he could do it. It's true about the swelling and that was one of the reason to played much less minutes.
But in my opinion his stay with HEAT made a lot of good to him. They monitoring him closely, he trained a lot and remained relatively healthy. Due to his injury history and after effects (swelling) he would never reach his pre-draft level (or his second year where he was not so bad). Training at very high level is not the same as play for real at NBA level.
I predict that he would attempt another comeback and could fare better than his HEAT stint. Some 10-15 minutes 5 ppg 5 rpg without playing back-to-back games.
