Garnett and Dwight were better, but I had Chandler 3rd on my list, and better him than Ibaka.

Chandler was great for the Knicks, with proper coaching (and healthy) they would be much more dangerous than we see now.

i wish scotty dumb azz brooks would have given ibaka a full starters 35 minutes per game instead of his 27.2, he would have probably put up 10 and 10 with 4 blocks per game (compared to 8 and 8 with 3.5) and at that point the stats are just so overwhelming he has to win. call it okc bias but i think with starters minutes the numbers would be so obscene that ibaka wins dpoy by default.

all that said, chandler is a better defender than ibaka, and i think chandy deserves DPOY as much as anybody in the league. even as an okc fan, i am not suprised or offended, chandler is a 29 year old championship winning veteran. ibaka is a kid in comparison. if ibaka continues to improve, god help the league when he is 29 years old.

Do you not realize Chandler was almost hospitalized before the series? He's been extremely sick. He's been getting I.V.'s of medication and vitamins for the past week or so. In fact he didnt even eat solid food for 4 days before last game.
