orly? Because, if I'm not mistaken, Miami also play some of the best team basketball in the league.
at you think a 37-year-old Tim Duncan, 36-year-old Manu Ginobili, 31-year-old Tony Parker and a bunch of role players should be able to beat that Heat team, that only has to play one hard series before facing their matchup in the Finals

Perhaps, but again at you for thinking the Spurs should beat the Heat.
They have the best player in the world; the Spurs don't have one in the top 20. Then they have Wade who, when healthy, is probably better than any of the Spurs players too. Then they have that incredibly easy ride to the Finals.
The Spurs right now are the '98 Jazz. The Heat are the '93 Bulls.

It works like this, guys...
Spurs franchise > Your favorite NBA team
What they've done over the last two decades has been amazing. Nothing much else to discuss.

Yeah it's wack. Spurs play great basketball and didn't lack athleticism and great playmaking.
In my estimation, outside of players' personalities, part of the reason the Spurs were considered boring for much of the last decade was they didn't dunk. They were perennially very low in team-dunks.
2003 championship year --- 322 regular season dunks (10th in league)
2005 championship year --- 187 regular season dunks (29th in league)
2007 championship year --- 128 regular season dunks (30th in league)
To put in perspective, from 2005-2009, Dwight had 1,062 dunks by himself

Nothing but respect to that whole organization. They do everything right.
It might surprise you, but a lot of people think the Spurs are boring. I'm just assuming most of those people are casual fans, who only care about dunks or other athletic plays. Or maybe it's because of their image. That old, defensive-minded team.
But I agree with you, if basketball knows perfection, it's SAS. I could watch hours of Duncan posting up, Manu being Manu, or Parker running the court. Let's just hope MB gets our team to do this, like he wants.

I think Parker was on the money when he said people consider the Spurs boring because they're the only team with the same core since the early 2000s, and thus the reputation of them being a grind-it-out, defense-beats-offense team has stuck with them.

Duncan is a top 10 player in the playoffs just like Parker if he isnt chocking.
Ginobili was top 20 at least too last year till he went full retard in game 6 and 7
SPurs have a strong core, good role players and a GREAT coach.

Is Duncan a top 10, or 20 player this season? No.
And there's a difference between the Spurs 'stacked' and the Heat 'stacked'. The Spurs draft and develop. The Heat destroy entire conferences by acquiring all the great ready-developed talent.
And again, the Heat play in the East. Their ride to the Finals is ten times easier than the Spurs'.

They were 28 seconds away from beating them last year until they pissed it away.

But they had no business taking them to a game 7...that's what I'm trying to say. It's all about expectations.
