I was in Baton Rouge, college baseball at LSU is almost as big as college football.

The this year is (was) an ok team, middle of the pack SEC team.

Then two weeks ago on Friday night, they were down 9-1 to Arkansas. We pulled with in 5 runs after the 6th inning.

That's when it happened, in the 7th inning, a baby opossum ran out on the field, causing a ten minute delay while they tried to catch it.

Next thing we know, our team gets hot and comes back to win the game in extra innings after tying it up in the bottom of the 9th.

Since that game, we have not lost a game, going 11-0 since, including beating the #1 team in the country two games, the third starting shortly.

Aside from LSU's win streak, Arkansas has not won a game since the "Rally Opossum" (that's what it is called now). Their losing streak is the longest in school history.

Baseball superstitions, real?
