Default Afflalo to sign a 2 year, $16 M deal with the Knicks

    http://www.postingandtoasting.com/20...6-million-deal

A pick that maybe pissed Melo off
A move that pissed Melo off
    A move that pleases Melo

    What will be next?

Joking aside, solid player at a fair price. Let's see what big man we can sign now.

avg 18 a game 2 years ago. 13 last year. 38% 3 point shooter over his career. And we paid him a very reasonable salary. Solid defender. What's to be mad at?

    Good job Phillip

Another Melo friend (see JR) bothers me but for the price he's a bargain. Guy is a less psycho less talented JR, can be a chucker but at this point we need reasonably priced players that have NBA experience.

Afflalo and JR and two very different players, Arron doesnt need the ball in his hands, he's mostly a guy who's very good at cutting around screens for the mid-range jumper, or just waiting at the line for a 3.
So not a chucker (if he gets the ball it's because he's open) and not a ball hog.
    Also a better defender.
I'd pick Afflalo over JR any day of the year actually

Can handle the ball well however, and he fits the triangle.
    Love the pickup.

Firmly will disagree with your sentiment. Once the balls is in his hands he will shoot. And I never said I would choose one over the other, but thats easy JR should never have resigned just from a mental midget standpoint but the Knicks are always in desperation mode to fill out the roster.

Comparing talent and ability JR is better. Having that translate on the court is another thing.

This team needs NBA bodies and at the price its a good move.

Countdown until Knicks fans and media blame Melo if Phil can't get anything it done.

It gets worse if they really signed r Lopez too. Lopez and monta Ellis or something like afflalo and Enes Kanter.

Just not sure the best uses of the 2 big chips are on two guys you want to be 4-5 or lower
