JC and Russ gonna be devastating next year. Randle gonna be solid as well, already a double-double machine in what is basically his rookie season.

I don't recall lakers fans saying he was an average guard playing at a stacked position and its made worse by passing on porzingis and okafor

Okafor can't play defense and is barely better than russ inside the arc despite the fact that he most scores in the paint...also a worse jump shooter by % despite not shooting 3s
Porzingis is a worse finisher than Russ inside, a 7-3 PF who's 43% on layups?

Okafor has shown a lot of improvement. Probably more than expected on that end. As for Porzingis: tip-in attempts count as "layups"

So that's why Okafor is 20% better on "tip-in attempts" at a volume that is twice as high?

What is why Okafor is 20% better? Tip in attempts? No. Okafor can back his man down and get to the rack.

NBA rookie of the year
Re: Lakers fans were always right about D'angelo Russell..
He's going to be alright. He's got a lot of potential as a shooter and as a passer. The best way he could damage is in the post tho, hopefully he improves that and his driving game. 12/4/3 in 27 mins is good for a rookie. Especially when you play in the factor that he plays with Kobe, Clarkson, Williams and Young whom are shoot first players.
