Simmons25... you're correct, but also irrelevant. Best is pretty typically spoken of in terms of relative to weight class. Silva calls GSP the GOAT. I head GSP call might mouse the GOAT.

Rampage and Gus are the only natural LHW's that he has beaten really.

Cormier is far better at HW. Granted, it is a great win. One of the few. He doesn't have two wins over Cormier, since he cheated, like he probably has for the majority of his career. Not to mention, he got to cheat, and still fight in his last fight against Gus. No biggie, its Jones though. To be expected.

Realistically, Jones is a bad matchup for Cormier. Is he a better fighter than Cormier? Well, one has been the LHW and HW champ, and only has one loss. Never a drug cheat too.

Meanwhile, the guy who has all the physical advantages, is too scared to go up to HW, and face guys where he won't have those advantages. How would Jones fair against Ngannou and Stipe? Big 265lbs guys who can take a shot and keep coming? Jones used to get injured in training from Overeem regularly. There is probably a good reason he doesn't move up to HW.

Stipe would pretty much destroy anyone on that list. The loss to DC was a fluke, that's why DC won't give him a rematch. Stipe just had a kid so he wasn't fully into the fight. What's comical is that Stipe's first passion is being a fire fighter. MMA is way down on his list. He was kicking everyone's ass who's primary passion is MMA and he was doing it on their best day. Imagine if he actually took it seriously.
