Default How many titles would've MJ's '90s Bulls won if they existed in the '80s?

Take the 90-99 Bulls as they existed through the '90s and put them in 80-89. MJ may or may not retire

It would be interesting watching the Bulls play the Sixers, Celtics, Pistons and potentially the Lakers

Don't think MJ and company are winning 6 titles

MJ was killing the top teams, it wasn't MJ that was the issue it was his teammates, coaching, system.

Give MJ the 90s Bulls and they win at least 3.

Would Pippen be able to stop prime Bird/Prime Magic?

Nope, and no way those Bulls teams as good as they were are better than the Celtics/Lakers teams in the 80s.

Depends on the how would you put them into the '80s.

    I mean 1989-90 Bulls in 1979-80 NBA season? If so;
    1979-80 season, NBA Finals likely.
    1980-81 season, NBA Title
    1981-82 season, NBA Title
    1982-83 season, NBA Finals
    1983-84 season, EC Semi-finals
    1984-85 season, EC Semi-finals
    1985-86 season, EC Finals
    1986-87 season, NBA Title
1987-88 season, NBA Finals or EC Finals

    There are 2 certain title(1981&1982), 1 highly probable(1987).
    There are some mismatchups and goat matchups;
    - 1979-80 Kareem would be too much to handle for the Bulls.
    - 1982-83 Sixers ve. 1992-93 Bulls would be one hell of an NBA Finals. But 1982-83 Moses is one of the toughest [center] winners.
    - 1985-86 Celtics vs. 1995-96 Bulls, the classic one.
    - 1986-87 Lakers vs. 1996-97 Bulls.
    - 1987-88 Pistons vs. 1997-98 Bulls and/or 1987-88 Lakers vs. 1997-98 Bulls

Also this situation would make it tougher to MJ being the best and the MVP. There are some goat level comparisons.
    1979-80 Kareem vs. 1989-90 Jordan
    1981-82 Moses vs. 1991-92 Jordan
    1982-83 Moses vs. 1992-93 Jordan
    1985-86 Bird vs. 1995-96 Jordan
    1986-87 Magic/Bird vs. 1996-97 Jordan
    1987-88 Magic/Bird vs. 1997-98 Jordan

Certainly tougher than the '90s competition as for the best player in the L comparisons.

    Hmm I'd say 2-3...

Rodman himself said they wouldn't have won 72 Games in the 1980's. Now that the 1980's had 2 other incredibly loaded teams, we all know. Then you had the Sixers&Pistons, more elite rosters..

    I say they win 1981 (1991 Team), 1986? 1987? 1988? 1989...

Hm....when will they win? If you judge them by year by their respectable year?

Like 90 Bulls in 1980 to all the way to the 98 Bulls in 88?

Either way, they would have their work cut out for them. I think they'll get to the finals in and possibly win in 81, and get to the finals in 82. They could do go to the Finals in 80. I don't know if they could win it. Jordan was in his prime, so if he could possibly match up with Magic ultimate game 6. Kareem would probably be too much for the Bulls tho.

83 and 84 would be the toughest of the early 80s. You had 83 76ers and in 84 Bird was in his prime and the Celts were getting stacked and the Lakers got even more stacked too. But if we assume Jordan retired in 84, then the Bulls probably won't win anything.

In 85 they probably won't win anything either assuming if the Jordan came back but no Horace Grant and Rodman. 85 Celts were stacked. Mchale got was getting in his prime and Bird was in his prime.

In 86 you have the 1986 Celtics. So, that would be the 1996 Bulls vs 1986 Celts. That's the biggest match up and could go either way. There were also the Hawks and Bucks.

In 87, you had the Pistons, Celtics, and the Lakers. Paradox with Rodman for the Pistons, heh.

And in 88, you still had the Pistons, Celts, and the Lakers. By this time, both the Celts and the Bulls are old. The Lakers core was still young except for Kareem. Pistons were young too. While they could still do it, showtime Lakers could also run them out of the building.

Imo, I think they would win at least 3.

The Showtime Lakers, Bird's Celtics, and even Moses Sixers were definitely more talented all around, or stacked compared to the early 90's Bulls.

Those early 90's Bulls teams won 3 rings with the GOAT just doing flat out heavy lifting in the playoffs, and Finals with great help from the best supplemental player ever.

I say the early 90's Bulls in the 80's could win 2 rings. I think the late 90's Bulls in the 80's could win 3 rings. Definitely not 6 rings like they did in the 90's. Hell, in the 90's theoretically the Bulls could have won 7 or even 8 if Jordan didn't retire.
