It's hard for Bird, not allowed to go over the tax line of $76 million, their payroll is about $3-$4 million short of it and they've got $53 million tied up in George, Hibbert, West and Hill alone. Outside of moving on Hibbert for little in return or cutting Scola and trading away guys like Mahinimi, Waston or Copeland there really wasn't any way for them to keep him.
