On mostly 3 ball too. But oh yea the narrative is he couldn't shoot that shot.

That was one of Jordan's toughest struggles in a postseason series. Putting up 32, 6, 7 on 40% FG, 52% TS, with 2.5 SPG, 1 BPG, and a 54 point game in an "off series" for Jordan pretty much explains all you need to know about how Jordan performed in the postseason.

Knicks and pacers gave those bulls the most problems

He went 1-7 from three 2 games before that and refused to attempt one in the next contest, followed by games of 0-1 and 1-4, nothing he did in that series changes the fact that he can't shoot from outside.

Virtually ALL of his field goals were jumpshots, except 1..

And the reason he shot all jumpshots is because the Knicks had shut him down thru 3 games by packing the paint - so shooting all jumpers was his only way to dominate - fortunately, he had the capacity to do this because he was a goat shooter (he shot FAR better than Curry inside 20 feet, on 6 times the volume)..

Otoh, Lebron could NEVER score 50 on all jumpshots - he actually MISSED 80% of his jumpshots in 2 separate Finals, which is probably a record.

People don't seem to understand that Jordan shot FAR better inside 20 feet than Curry, on literally 6 times the volume.. He was one of the best shooters inside 20 feet of all-time.

This contrasts with Lebron, whose midrange percentage is below 40% for 10 of 13 seasons and his career 3-point percentage is only 31% in the playoffs.

The reality is that Lebron, Westbrook, Wade, Derozan and Butler ALL have sub-par 3-point and midrange efficiency, but they're still top scorers because today's wide open spacing and hands-off defense allows athletic players easier access to the rim than ever before.

MJ's athleticism would benefit the same way, except he had goat midrange efficiency, even better than Curry's, which gives him a massive advantage over non-shooters Lebron, Westbrick and company.. MJ had Lebron/Westbrook's athleticism, with better midrange shooting than Steph Curry.. That's the goat

...while getting a pass for being garbage in the other 5 games of that series. Scottie had to carry his ass this entire series.

Jordan scored at least 10 ppg more than Pippen for every series of their careers (except two, where Jordan scored 7 ppg and 5 ppg more).

In addition to Jordan's goat scoring load, he also led the team in passing - he had the highest assist percentage for both 3-peats, so he assisted on the highest proportion of teammate FG's.

Btw, no other all-time great has led his team in scoring for every playoff series of their career, EXCEPT Jordan, who led his team in every series by an average of 15.4 ppg.. Compare that to Lebron, who didn't lead his team in scoring for 2 ENTIRE PLAYOFF RUNS (2011 and this year).

You mean besides the fact that he shot 36% on three 3FGA/gm in 1993, and then 39% from deep on nearly four 3FGA/gm that same postseason?

this shows that you really don't know sh*t about that series

the next game he had a triple double, scoring the Bull's last 19 pts in the 4th quarter including one of defensive stops that made Charles Smith famous
