NBA in VR
So I haven't seen this bought up here yet, but NBA are doing one game a week in VR.
What a f*cking ripper, been wanting this for a bit tbh Happened sooner than I thought really.
Get a samsung headset, and you can log into your LP through their app and you get the VR game.
First is Spurs V Kings tomorrow.
Get on it.
Cheers

Damn, could be interesting. I didn't buy league pass this year but let me know how it is.

Re: NBA in VR
I tried out the sample one when I first got the Samsung VR. It was Warriors/Pelicans I think. It looks great. It really feels like you are right there watching the game court side. I would love to watch every Heat game in VR.

No worries Shuttsy.
Also, if you have a headset and stuff, you could try it tomorrow with free LP trial.
Also, I hear VR is taking a big step up next year, s8 which should be out Feb/Mar rumoured to be 4k VR.
F*CK YES.

I'm curious about this too.. in fact I just had a new PC built just for using VR. Picked it up yesterday. If you want to use VR.. the best hardware will be on PC.. and you need a high end PC to be capable as well. Most people won't have a PC of that caliber

That's for gaming, playing 4k video, the Samsung can easily do that. I think it's higher resolution than the pc offering now.

Reading all the reviews seems the HTC is the one everyone is getting excited about. It's not available in Australia yet but will be soon. And there is no point spending all that cash on VR without being able to use it for all its applications.

I'm just talking about viewing 4k vid in this case, if you already have a Samsung S6/S7 you're good to go. Do you really want to drop $800 on a vive knowing how quickly the technology will get better and the lack of content in the beginning.

You can say that about any technology nowadays though. It moves so quickly. And over the next 6-12 months there will be a lot of VR content getting released. Given how much money companies are pushing into it it's unlikey that better hardware will be released right away as well

Re: NBA in VR
Whats the VR experience like though?
Ive never experienced it. I remember there was a lot of hype about 3d tvs etc but I thought watching films in 3d sucked.
Im sure VR has the potential to be amazing though, if it already isnt.

NICE! Good call man. I'll definitely try it out tomorrow
And shit... If the S8 is indeed 4K, I'll have to upgrade my S7E

Especially VR, it's pretty much in its infant stage. First year, you'll see a bunch of tech demo than full blown killer apps type.
