Default Article: Rating the rookies. position by position

[QUOTE]This is going to be a unique rookie class no matter what, with the No. 1 pick having already been traded and three of the top prospects from outside the 2014 draft, so a position-by-position ranking of first-year players less than a week before all training camps open is likewise a challenge to pin down.
The No. 1 point guard was the third point guard taken in June, if it turns out Dante Exum actually plays there, a TBA in Utah with Trey Burke in place but also after Exum insisted throughout the draft process that

I don't understand their ratings. It seems like they are basing it off who is the best player, but then they take into account how many minutes they will get and who will have the best season.

Like why is Alec Brown even on there? Did he even get signed? I thought he was going to europe. How do you put Warren a couple spots below Noel in the summer league rankings and then the season starts and he isn't top 5 in small fowards?

Payton would have been a good pick for the Kings. I like Nik though

aside from athleticism many people didn't see lavine as a huge prospect atleast in his rookie year. The guy definitely has the tools I hope he can put it together and show some talent along with those ridiculous hops

    Nice thread.

From what i sense so far. (wall of text)

Payton will start have a nice rookie year. Exum has struggled this off season (summer league & FIBA), may start some games who knows but i see an up and down year at best. If Rondo gets traded, Smart gets the job obviously, side by side with Bradley. Off the bench, i still see him having a decent rookie year. Nothing too big though, unless Rondo is traded. I have no idea who Russ Smith is. Chalmers i actually think will have a good year. Cole right behind him but i can see Napier beating Cole to be 2nd string possibly?

Nothing good at SG this year tbh. Maybe i don't what i'm talking about. I know about Stauskas but SAC has McLemore so not too sure...

Wiggins ROTY runner, along with Payton & Parker. I see him leading all in scoring. McDermott has a stacked CHI to deal with. Will probably have not much impact this year. Ennis behind Deng, Anderson behind Diaw, Early behind Melo.

Jabari like Wiggins & Payton. MIL looks stacked with young talent though. Another year of ever changing line ups? Randle may get more minutes than Boozer down the stretch. I could see him being in the top 5 rookies at the end of the year. Gordon is behind Frye/O'Quinn & Harris, may end up getting some respectable minutes though. Mirotic like McBuckets is in stacked CHI and i have no clue who Stokes is.

lol at the C list. Noel/MCW will be PHI this year. Bairstow is in stacked CHI. I have no idea who the rest are.

Some guys i didn't see mentioned were PF Adriene Payne in ATL who i hear may have some impact and Vonleh who may get some respectable run in CHA maybe? Also i heard a lot of good things about Jordan Clarkson but i'm starting to think he isn't going to play much since he's a rookie and Kobe/Scott want Nash/Lin to run point. L.A. better pray they don't have injury problems again.

Why is Jabari listed as a PF?
