The one with Batman and the villains.. Wasn't Ben Affleck the new Batman just a minute ago?

Eh. JL doesn't count as a Batman movie, although he was the lead character. BvS is a co-lead between him and Superman. The reception of BvS is bad, to say the least. Audiences and fans are eager to remove the bad taste left behind that movie and JL (I love BvS though). Grabbing the male lead of the Twilight series who is a fantastic actor should make anyone excited. And it would be 9 years since the last release of a generally acclaimed Batman film.

Kravitz isn't a very good actress but she could make a great Catwoman.

I like her look for it.

J Wright is an AMAZING actor but I don't like him for Gordon, and that's ALL based on appearance. I think his sensibilities actually suit the role quite well

I use to hate on Pattinson for this role to, but check his recent A24 films and he kills it.

He's also going to play a big role in Nolan's next film Tenet, it seems he's caught good eye in hollywood circles.

Remember, big dick Mcconaughey and Gosling all use to play chick flicks in their early career but show they're legit outside that genre.

yeah, I mean the whole point really is you can't gauge actors early in their career

most if not all start in teen sitcoms, commercials or as extras

and when you're fresh, you take what you can get

I agree with you, the public tends to hate on guys for a role they happen to play instead of their talent. Dudes used to hate on Justin Timberlake and Leo DiCaprio early in their careers simply as a reaction to the 'heart thob' status. People just assumed they werent shit because they got marketed to teeny boppers at that stage of their career.
