It's tough to say. Ginobili hadn't quite broken out yet, but certainly showed flashes of greatness. Duncan was still in his physical peak (he was dinged up in 2005, yet still won Finals MVP). Turkoglu was crap for the Spurs and didn't last long. Spurs in 05 traded aging Malik Rose for Nazr Mohammed, and it really bolstered their D (Mohammed became the starting center ahead of Rasho). The Fisher shot was definitely a heartbreaker, mostly because many people (in San Antonio) didn't feel the shot should have counted, but its whatever. Spurs had ended their reign the year before. Had Spurs faced the 04 Pistons, idk. The Pistons had alot to prove and the addition of Sheed made them a more lethal opponent than before. But they added McDyess and stayed about as good the next season (and lost a close series to an improved Spurs team).

    I hope so too, man.

Feel ya about 05/06. I would say Vince's game winner that year killed me more than Kobe's 81. I still remember how entertaining that whole game was when I watched it on T.V.. So much drama.
