Well, if shrewd selection is the criterion, yes. They selected WCS 5 places above where he featured on some boards. They did this to plug the hole in the middle, essentially freeing their best player, Cousins, from the burden of being the anchor. They could have easily selected Winslow (= McLemore w/ better D), Kaminsky, or even your Mudiay (when Collison will suffice).
