There is the key. Dude has had one full season in his 6 years, and he was only playing 20 minutes a game. He's injury prone - not worth anywhere close to Chris Paul value.

It doesn't matter if Chris Paul doesn't want to re-sign with the Clippers...

NO gets a young All-Star caliber center with superstar potential.

    Paul
    Kobe
    Artest
    Odom
    Gasol

For anyone complaining about super teams...we would have traded or drafted all guys mentioned here except Artest.

lmao 24 year old center with scrambled egg knees.

Lakers always act like they are entitled to anyone and everyone in the league.

Bynum has had two major knee injuries and 3 knee surgeries. He is inconsistent and has never been an elite player. Hes shown moments of possible potential but he always manages to disappear for equal stretches to make him a liability. He disappears in the playoffs. He has poor work ethic, seeing Basketball as a laborious job rather than a passion. He can often be a black hole, you pass him the ball and it will almost always be shot and never passed back out. Bynum has long arm and height but its wasted in his lack of natural basketball ability.

Hes no where near equal to CP3 star status.

One of Bynums injuries was because Kobe accidently dove into his knee in memphis...besides its not like he's had microfracture or an ACL tear

It's always the Laker fanboys who think everybody wants to play for the Lakers. And that teams will give them their superstars for literally nothing smh

How many years must go by for us to see this potential realized?

Ever since he entered the league its been 'he has potential.. he has potential..'

Its a song that is getting old..

Yao Ming has shown how dominant he is when he's healthy too. Health is a major part of any player. Would NO trade Chris Paul for Brandon Roy? No, Roy is injured and has no cartilage in his knees. Why would you take a gamble on that? Bynum's injuries may not be that severe but his track record speaks for itself. Yes, he has the 'potential' to be a top 2-3 big man in the league (which he probably already is) but his injuries are a major question mark and probably will be.

CHris Paul is worth much more than Bynum, and NO will probably get better offers considering Chris Paul is at the very least a top 3 PG and one of the star players of the league. He starred on Team USA and everybody knows what kind of damage he's capable of. There's no way NO takes a gamble with Bynum especially with an offer of Eric Gordon on the table (if that's true.)

People talk about Eric Gordon as if he's some dime a dozen undersized high volume shooter SG but he's proven much more than that. He's a solid lock-down defender and controlled the ball really well last year. He hasn't had any injury concerns if I remember correctly either?

Big men will always have more value because of height. However, when injury is a concern, especially constant injuries in the case of Bynum, it will be a question mark. NO isn't going anywhere and they know it. Bynum isn't bringing players to the stadium, whereas Eric Gordon has a better chance of doing so (exciting wing player, etc. etc.). This might play into the factor as well.

You have to be a complete dumbass to value Bynum over Gordon right now. Seriously.

I'm not saying Lakers can't get CP3 or insulting the team. If they did Gasol+Bynum for CP3+Okafor or something like that they would have a shot.. but not just Bynum.
Nono theres better deals out there, I agree, just saying that you immediately talk clippers every thread. Meh, I guess its somewhat relevant.

Zen you're a good Lakers fan/poster. Is Bynum a better player than Eric Gordon right now in your opinion?
