I would probably say so. But it's not an easy choice (Wade has a very strong argument for best player in the Finals).

Nah it's quite easy, Wade was great but Dirk was better without an argument.

Dirk put up 26/10/2/.5/.5 on .537 TS%, with a GameScore of 16.6.
Wade put up 27/7/5/1.5/1.5 on .614 TS%, with a GameScore of 22.7.
Wade was 16/29 in 4th quarters. Dirk was 18/35.
Like I said, I'd probably go with Dirk. But it's not without argument. Wade put a all time choking LeBron and an unperforming Bosh on his back.

Why would you probably go with Dirk? Because LeBron choked?
Heat should have easily won that series

I personally thought Wade was a bit better than Dirk in the finals (mainly because of the flu game...people forget that Dirk did play one game truly sick)...however, it's a tough comparison because the Mavs pretty much solely focused on Lebron.
It would have been embarrassing if Wade didn't play great given the lack of attention he faced. But regardless, you have to credit him for playing well.

Re: Titles Where One Player Was the Best in Every Series?
This thread will amount to a discussion on offense-related statistics rather than who the better player was. How do we qualify the defensive impact of players like Duncan, KG, and Shaq outside of raw stats? Their impact isn't always in the boxscore or even advanced stats. As for the thread, I'd bet Jordan is eligible in some of his runs

Surprised nobody mentioned 2000 Shaq.
2012 and 2013 LeBron.
All of Duncan's series are really arguable... I do remember KG having a good series against TD in 1999. Obviously you could argue Kobe playing better in 2003 as well, and Amare went crazy against TD in 2005 dropping something like 37/10 in that series.
Kobe was the best in 09 and 10.
Hakeem in 94, 95?

Only Duncan one was 03, tbh, and he was certainly the best player in every series. Duncan was better than KG in the Minny series, but Duncan wasn't better than Robinson in the Portland series.
Kobe doesn't really have a case for 03. Kobe wasn't even the best Laker (Shaq was).
Kobe put up 32/5/4/1 on .533 TS%. Duncan put up 28/12/5/1 on .575 TS%. Kobe's defense was poor though. Bowen won a game by himself, and Manu had his best series that year. I don't see how it could be Kobe. Even then, people said he was chucking. And this is peak Duncan.
Manu was the best Spur in 05. Duncan has a good case for 07, depending on how you view the Finals (Duncan drawing all the defensive attention, securing Ws with his defense, or Parker abusing the biggest mismatch ever). Deron may have been the best player in the WCF also.
00 Shaq is an obvious choice for sure.
13 LeBron too.
But I do kind of agree with budadiiii. I thought Durant may have been the best player in that Finals series.
Good post.
