Why are you face palming it? If Bowen played for any other team in league history (other than Lakers & Celtics), they'd retire his jersey, too.
He was a huge part of those title runs the Spurs had a few years back. Bowen was arguably the best defender in Spurs' history, and definitely the best defender in the league at one point in his career.
Don't hate the man. Just because he never averaged 30+ points or hit game-winning shots after game-winning shots doesn't mean his presence wasn't felt on the court.

Yes he is. He gets over looked greatly by the non-Spurs fan and causal fan but his impact on the defensive end and well as his ability to knock down the corner three was vital to the Spurs success in the 00's.
