If you want to drop to Miami's Level, then you have to include Orlando, Golden State, Dallas, Houston, and a host of others.
You should know Dallas, Philly, and the Bay Area are bigger markets than Boston.

Of all the guys you listed, only Lebron and Shaq left their teams in free agency in their prime.
Free agency is great for adding sidekicks, and additional pieces, but it's almost impossible to get the true franchise players from it.
