You're not far off. Technically, the Axe character did (even after he passed) have gravitational pull on the tow truck. And this gravitational pull was greater than all the other people around. The Axe character's mass exerted gravitational pull on the tow truck, and there's an equation for that. So it is true.

If the tow truck and the Axe character were both in space, far, far away from any star, they would both start orbiting around each other.
