Just picked up a spalding Zi/o excel, pumped it yesterday and this morning it was flat (not completely, but def way flatter than what I pumped it to)

Could I have ****ed the valve by pumping it without lubing up the pump needle first?

yup you definitely put a hole in the valve. I've done that to a new ball a couple times at least. i know that feel

Spit on the needle or run it though your hair.
