He has improved his jumpshooting and post game and is taking a few less shots which has also helped him raise his efficiency. Any way you look at it it's still impressive.
LeBron is now the only PG in the NBA apparently.

As a matter of fact, the Heat are currently on pace to shatter the single season eFG% record as they're standing at 56.0% for the season. The current record is the 2012-13 Miami Heat at 55.2%.

Some might say that LeBron is the reason the FG% is so high in Miami. But this is absolutely false. Without LeBron James, the team is still shooting 49.0% from the field which is still #1 in the NBA, and 52.8 eFG% which would rank 3rd behind only SA and Houston.

Bosh is a career 49.8% shooter, he's at 53.3% on this team. +3.5% higher than career average and a career high

Wade is a career 49.2% shooter, he's at 54.8% on this team. +5.6% higher than career average and a career high

Beasley is a career 45.0% shooter, he's at 49.8% on this team. +4.8% higher than career average and a career high

Andersen is a career 52.8% shooter, he's at 67.1% on this team. +14.3% higher than career average and a career high

Cole was a career 41% shooter in COLLEGE. Now he's on this team and suddenly shooting 43%. You telling me it's easier for an undersized guard to score in the NBA than it was in college? And on a mid major at that? It's also a career high

Chalmers is a career 42.5% shooter. He's shooting 45.4% on this team. +2.9% higher than career average and a career high

LeBron is a career 50.2% shooter. He's shooting 57.0% on this team. +6.8% higher than career average and a career high

The only players on this team in the regular rotation that aren't shooting career highs are Ray Allen, who most would agree has just not been himself this year, and Battier, who most would agree is a fraction of the player he used to be at this point in his career.

It seems as if the entire Heat's team has inflated FG%'s

And then when you take into consideration LeBron is shooting below 50% in the half court, being on pace to break the single season record for fast break points, and having admitted to protecting his FG%, I just don't see the big deal.
    No.

That is not the eFG% that Miami can shoot if Lebron James was not on their team.

That is the eFG% that the other four guys can shoot while Lebron James is on the court and attracts the attention of the defense and makes great passes to the other Miami players for wide open shots.

Wrong again kid. That's the eFG% of the Heat WITHOUT LeBron James on the floor. http://www.82games.com/1314/13MIA9.HTM

Yes because all the pointguards in the nba draw as much defensive attention as LeBron does. Bosh benefits from open mid range shots (he ofcourse has worked and improved on his shot) and gets more open and easy dunks/layups off PnRs and gets more single coverage. Wade again gets more single coverage but has also improved his mid-range and post game which is why his % has risen. Chalmers and Cole ( at the college comment) shoot a lot 3's and again are getting more open looks, also again chalmers % has barely risen. Birdman scores like 6 points a game I don't even see why he was brought up and he is assisted on 72% of his shots. Beasley is taking half of the shots than his career average so ofcourse his efficiency his going to rise

Leading the 3rd best offense in the league isn't very impressive given the talent level of his teammates...

he always gets doubled in the post or on drives and they use it really well.
btw his FG% sure as hell is a lot more impressive than KDs FT-percentage in the clutch were he turns into Dwight Howard
    What?

So Lebron was shooting 55+% before Miami?

Learn to read: He said Wade's & Bosh's FG% improved because of Lebron, which is obviously true.

Wade & Bosh were both #1 options before joining forces with Lebron, they are more efficient in a smaller role. They don't have to do as much as they used to, carrying medicore teams on offense every night.

Lebron's FG% is so high because he has two teammates that take the pressure off him on the offensive end, he now gets easier match ups & more fast break opportunities, leading to a high fg%. He's like 36% outside the paint for the entire season, but he gets so many easy looks inside that it doesn't show up on his fg% or TS%.

If you're getting easier looks & you don't have to work as hard for your shot, chances are your fg% will improve.

No you read, he's framing it like they have no impact on HIS increased FG%

We actually agree, but when reading the writings of a stan, what isn't said is always more important.
