Stop being so defensive LeBron stans. This isn't an attack, and how are you not upset at the same things we are noticing?

You guys are the fans, you should be more upset about this. LeBron needs to know when it's time to stop facilitating or being passive trying to get others involved (which is great the first 3 1/2 quarters being selfless) ... if the offense is sputtering and nothing is happening even with good team ball movement.

That's when the best player puts it into higher gear and LIFTS his team to fill their immediate needs. It's the lack of feel, or sense of urgency of him not realizing he needs to assert himself more which causes people to lash out and say he's passive, shook, not clutch, etc.

All of you over defensive LeBron defenders just don't seem to grasp this concept at all. Or you do, you just want to save face and completely defend the indefensible. He needs to take over and assert himself offensively in those moments of close ball games ... in monumental games like the NBA Finals. We're not saying he needs to chuck shots like a JR Smith with no regards for IQ or the right basketball play. Just step up and lay claim to the title of best player in the game. Especially when your squad needs it.

    History repeating itself

I thought LBJ was going to put the clamps on Tony Parker in the 4th too. Parker lit him up.

By the way, Bosh should have made the extra pass to Miller who was wide open in the corner....

    Gamechanger of Game 1 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yhZ3Gb_2GIc

You can say it was the play that broke the camel's back. First 3 quarter was fastpace, uptempo all favoring Miami's style. But from the 8 min mark of the 4th quarter, the Spurs made it a half-court game.

Pauk posted LeBron's stats but failed to post his defensive lapses.

After Spiltter's post up....LeBron failed to boxout Leonard on two plays where Leonard got two put-back backets. He failed to box out Duncan on another play that allowed a put-back bucket by TD. Then he had a turnover to Leonard that lead to Parker's spin move and bucket where LeBron didn't try to help Cole.

So LeBron put up 6 points in the 4th quarter but he's also responsible for the Spurs getting 12 easy points on him. 14 total on him that I counted after watching the 4th quarter replay but I didn't count Parker's miracle buzzer-beater.

EDIT: Added link to the 4th quarter.

you are delusional. lebron doesnt step up in the 4th and its wade and bosh's fault. we all know this heat team is winning or losing based on lebrons performance, not wade or bosh.

look at the timeline, lebron checked in and shot attempt at 8:20. he didnt attempt another shot till 3 minutes left in the 4th

Cool analysis DMV2. Wade was responsible for one of Leonard's put-back buckets in the 4th. I remember Duncan's offesnive rebound, that one was on LeBron.

IMO Splitter's post up wasn't a 'game changer' per se. He took advantage of a mismatch but it wasn't a play that favored one team or the other in terms of momentum.

Duncan's take over in the 2nd quarter was more impressive to me. Miami was up by 9 and it looked like they were ready to blow out the game but Duncan took over in the post.

I was hoping someone else would give some blame to Bosh who actually took the shot. Newsflash -- just because a player receives the ball on the perimeter does not mean that he has to shoot. Considering there were just a few seconds off the shot clock and under a minute to go, you have to figure that you can get a better shot than a 3 from a player who was 0 for 3 from 3 for the game and has been slumping coming into the game.

Basically there is blame to the coach. Once again it's all Lebron holding the ball and turning everyone else into spot up shooters. It stabilizes their game. So now, Wade isn't the slasher or D-Whistle attacker like he was, Bosh cant post up or face up defenders in the post like he did in Toronto, Ray Allen isn't running off screens for open looks like he did in his whole career. Basically it's Lebron ball. Coach didn't get everyone's game involved. He didn't use everyone's strengths. Bosh shooting 3's??? Kidding me.

2 crucial back to back turnovers from Lebron to give the Spurs their first lead since the 1st quarter.
