2017 NBA Playoffs 1st Round GT: (4) Washington Wizards vs (5) Atlanta Hawks

Rooting for the wizards to make the ECF. They'll challenge the Cavs the most out of any team in the east, and that will prepare them for the warriors. Cavs will peak in the finals.

They're the favorite to make the ECF out of that bracket with the way the Celtics have struggled. But, this series really could go either way now.

I actually think the team that matches up the best with the Cavs is still the Raptors. They have two really good offensive players in Lowry and Derozen, and they have bodies to throw at LeBron (Ibaka, Patterson, Tucker) ... and at least Val can try to bang with TT (although Frye could get him taken out of the game any time the Cavs want).

Also, Toronto has playoff seasoning that the Wizards really don't and they have far more to throw at LeBron. They're the biggest threat, imo, despite their lack of three-point shooting.

But, Washington is probably the most interesting matchup for the Cavs. I'd agree with that. I just think their defense is too shabby to hang with the Cavs in a 7-game series. They would try to beat the Cavs at their own game (offense) and that simply won't work with the firepower the Cavs have. John Wall would basically have to become the greatest PG of all-time on both ends for them to have a shot.

He's had his problems in the past with guarding Kyrie Irving and he has never faced the playoff version. Watching guys like Schroder and Calderon go right around him today doesn't lead me to believe Kyrie would have a major issue putting up serious production of his own.

Don't get me wrong... Toronto has their problems of their own matching up with the Cavs, but I'll save that for another post.

Schroder is better than i thought. I certainly wasn't expecting 20+ ppg from him. He has been the fly in the ointment.

I hated the Morris trade at the time it happened and still hate it.
