Money jumpshot, excellent floater, speed, can straight up take over a game.
I have watched countless Austin Rivers HS games and his games at Duke. This guy is THE FUTURE
??? His jumper is inconsistent at best.
And best player in high school two years ago? You use on recruiting service to back your claim? Pretty sure Anthony Davis was the consensus #1 player in that class.
He does have the type of game that I can see dominating the summer league though. Him putting up a few 20-25 point games wouldn't surprise me.

I hope you don't mean rookie Tyreke Evans because Rivers will more than likely never be a 20-5-5 player.

Ranked #1 by rivals
And go back and watch the All-American game with Austin they kept saying how he was the best high school player and even had a huge segment on halftime about him. He was really hyped up back then.

Him dropping 38 on Kidd-Gilchrist team in a loss. This was around the time when he was the top rated player in the country

Re: Austin Rivers vs Damian Lillard tonight
I honestly don't expect Austin River to be an All-Star, and thats not a slight against him. Its just that the league is more athletic nowadays and I see him being a solid starter/6th man throughout his career.

Rivers will do better tonight. Lillard will have the better career.

Nope, I was talking about last yrs Tyreke numbers. 16-4-4. I think thats very much attainable for Rivers.

Ranked #1 by Rivals, but he was ranked #3 by scout and ESPN.
I tend to trust Scout the most out of the 3, but this is really as moot point. Anthony Davis was/is obviously the best from that class.

Re: Austin Rivers vs Damian Lillard tonight
I'm not even that high on Rivers but I don't see how he can be any worse statistically than James Harden. I think by career's end their stats will be nearly identical. However, I think Rivers has the potential to be much greater, but I don't know if his ego will allow it. He seems like the type set on playing hero ball.

Actually 2 years ago (2010), Josh Selby was ranked #1 by rivals. 2011 Rivers was #1.
