Default Astounding similarities between 2004-05 Spurs and 2012-13 Spurs

2004 and 2012 Spurs:
2004 playoffs:
Spurs swept the first round, had a 10+ winning streak before facing Lakers.
Lost to Lakers after being up 2-0 with HCA, dropping 4 in a row for a meltdown playoffs exit.
Pistons had 2-0 lead against Nets, then dropped 3 in a row, had a huge game 6, and clinched series in 7(2-0, 2-3, 4-3 sequence).
Pistons went on to win NBA title, defeated the favored Lakers 4-1, winning three home games in a row.

2012 playoffs:
Spurs swept the 1st round(and 2nd round too), had a 10+ winning streak before facing Thunder.
Lost to Thunder after being up 2-0 with HCA, dropping 4 in a row for a meltdown playoffs exit.
Heat had 2-0 lead against Celtics, then dropped 3 in a row, had a huge game 6, and clinched series in 7.
Heat went on to win NBA title, defeated the favored Thunder 4-1, winning three home games in a row.

2005 and 2013 Spurs:
2005 playoffs:
Spurs were 2nd seed in Western Conference, right below Suns.
The top seed Suns had a major injury for Joe Johnson, were not able to compete following this accident.
Spurs had easy trip to NBA finals, the Supersonics gave them the most trouble by playing small.

2013 playoffs:
Spurs were 2nd seed in Western Conference, right below Thunder.
Thunder had a major injury for Russell Westbrook, were not able to compete following this accident.
Spurs had easy trip to NBA finals, the Warriors gave them the most trouble by playing small.

We know what happened for ECF and NBA Finals in 05, the defending champion Pistons made it back to the Finals but lost to Spurs in 7. The Heat in 12-13 and Pistons in 04-05 also shared tremendous similarity, its not just a coincidence. What do these imply? You get my point, this is yet another Spurs year, they will be crowned their fifth NBA titles in June.

NBA Finals game 7 would be played in Miami, not San Antonio. I think that would make a big difference.

Is there any comparisons to this and the 2003 team? That team was one of the weaker Spurs title teams.

Spurs can never make it to the finals on an Even year.

I actually find more similarities with '13 Spurs and the '11 Mavs.

Deep teams lead by primarily an offensive player (Dirk, Parker).

Both wouldn't be deadly without their best defenders (Tyson, Duncan, Marion, Kawhi, Kidd, Green).

Both teams go 8-9 deep at least, and have a variety of talent (the 2005 Spurs were shallow in comparison).
