This is true. All people have left to hate on.
Dude stays in front of his man, and has some of the best hands in the league.

I'll keep saying it. Curry is:
    - 2nd in steals.
    - 15th in defensive win shares.
    - 2nd in defensive win shares on GSW behind only Draymond.
    - 3rd in defensive rpg for point guards.

He guarded him well whenever he was on him.

Curry gives up 0.6ppp when defending players in isolations. He has the 2nd most ISO defensive possessions in the Warriors.

For comparison, uts 2nd in the nba for players with more than 50 defensive possessions.

Granted he doesent defend the star of the opponent, but he is a very solid defender.

Not true. He isn't an elite defender but man to man, he's pretty good. His problem isn't his lateral speed, it's his inability to fight through screens.

What being skinny has to do with being a bad defender? Garnett is super skinny and is among GOAT defenders.

Curry is average defender at best, and its mainly because of effort than anything else. Some players simply prefer to go all-out offensively and conserve energy on defense, like Barkley, Haren, _irk, etc.

I wonder if he would have been better if he never had those ankle injuries.

Just like everybody else said, he's an average defender. Does he play the passing lanes well? Yes. But on-ball defense, he is not great.
This comment is as stupid as the great player in your avatar.

It's smart coaching to not have Curry guard premier, ball-dominant PG's, since he is the best offensive player in the world, hands down. His backcourt teammate is taller, longer, and IS one of the top 3 defensive guards in the league.

Coaching to your team's strengths, doesnt mean you're hiding weaknesses. It often means maximizing strengths. Such is the case here.

if the opposite team has a shooter like reddick i prefer curry to mark him

but there are many bad coaches like mark jackson who prefers every player to mark their position and then their team will play bad defence

kerr is smart coach ,he want players to mark where they are good
    Precisely.

I've seen him lock down Lebron and Durant, so those numbers certainly come as no surprise
