Not everyone here lifts (shocking as that may be).
It's impressive because it is more weight than Michael Jordan was able to deadlift.

Form is temporary
Re: Steph Curry is stronger than Michael Jordan?
Anybody can make up BS unverified weightlifting claims just like people made for Wilt (500 pound bench press lol).
I could claim to deadlift 400 lbs and my friends would absolutely believe me.

Re: Steph Curry is stronger than Michael Jordan?
Eddie Hall is a freak
With straps, 1000+ pound deadlift
But also benches 660 pounds

Verticle?

And a 400lbs deadlift would put you in the top 5% of the gym going community. It is impressive.

Banned (lol)
Re: Steph Curry is stronger than Michael Jordan?
you really need a strong core for a 400lb deadlift, if you're in a proper form that is.
strong curry

Re: Steph Curry is stronger than Michael Jordan?
Jordan had a scrawny Allen Iverson/ Zach Lavine body
Skinny arms, skinny legs, poor core strength, overall a weak individual
Wade, LeBron, Iggy, Derrick Rose, Westbrook, T-mac, Artest, most wing players are stronger than Jordan ever was.

Is this confirmed or are you just speculating? Jordan by all accounts was very strong for his size.

He can deadlift over 400 pounds. There is nothing about Jordan lifting that much online or at the Library. It looks like he has never been able to lift as much as Curry.
a 400 deadlift isn't really much to brag out...especially for an nba guy with long arms. MJ was well known for being extremely strong.

99.5% of the worlds population wouldn't be able to do that. Even those who train, a large majority cannot do that. Then add in those who can, I'd say 50% couldn't do it without a belt. Those who can, 50% probably can't do it for more than a single or with good form.
Completely baseless numbers to an extent, but 400lbs not being impressive? What a joke...
EDIT: To put into perspective how "unimpressive" the 400lbs deadlift is. The average crossfit athlete was 190lbs in 2010, and the average DL was 470lbs. But yeah... 400lbs is unimpressive.
There is a HUGE and I mean HUGE difference in 400 and 470. I'm talking that difference can take a lifter YEARS to make up. Add in cross fitters aren't lifter so why they're brought up???
Strength athletes and considered beginners with a 500 deadlift. The general rule is 400 squat, 300 bench, 500 dead for just reaching a baseline strength in things like body building and power lifting.

Not even close
Depends on the person...sumo vs conventional can make 100 pound difference and you think a trap bar can't? Everyone's built differently...
