It's because he looks structurally like an ape, and behaves like one too.
The funny part is, people choose exactly what BLM stands for, and then associate that with anything that has to do with any black rights movement.

If people like yourself and others actually cared to do something other than react to the BLM alone, you would see that there are pastors, community members, ex gang-members, parents, teachers, politicians and all sorts of others who get together in Chicago to address exactly what you're talking about, and have been for some time.

So, essentially, BLM shouldn't have a voice because they need to be speaking about black shootings in Chicago, although that's not what their focus is? Do breast cancer initiatives need to cease their work until they address lung cancer? That doesn't make sense now does it.

It's understandable to point out other issues in the black community, because there are many. Unfortunately, there are also many issues in the American society as a whole. People feeling threatened by someone saying "we matter" should speak to that fact.

No offense intended, but many people, particularly white people in the US get extremely uncomfortable, and often times upset when a group of people who have been historically marginalized and may continue to be so speak out on that issue, it's often met with heavy resistance from certain members of that community, and a general message along the lines of "slavery ended a hundred years ago/racism doesn't exist anymore, and if you think it does and you don't like it then get out of our country!"

Seriously, the fact that "we matter" is seen as a political statement should tell you all you need to know about race relations in the US and how far they still need to go.

You're retarded. The general message isn't "slavery ended a hundred years ago, racism doesn't exist"

The general message is "Constantly talking about race and separating the black race from every other race just creates MORE racism"

The BLM movement is counter-productive and is only making the racism "problem" WORSE and IDIOTIC MORONS like you just don't get that or couldn't possibly comprehend that.

Like Morgan Freeman said... the only way to stop racism is to STOP TALKING ABOUT IT.

How many people make things worse for themselves by apologizing for something that needs no apology.

All they had to say is that while they respect her opinion and recognize the struggle she was trying to bring to light, they just wanted someone to sing the anthem without controversy or making their own personal statement.

Yup. It's race bait and the media perpetuates it, ultimately and possibly to divide us. By focusing on protecting a specific race, it breeds more racism, through a racist mindset.

Don't sit here and act like racism is exclusive to people of a white skin color. We have to destroy the identifying factors of skin color. That doesn't happen with dumb movements like Black Lives Matter.

Oh and a black man was just president of the free world for two consecutive terms. Almost 10 years. Cry me a river about being historically marginalized.

How racist of a society do you think America still is if something like that came to fruition? It's all woe is me crap. Damn near every race, religion, creed or ethnicity has been persecuted at some point. Maybe not as recent or as long but seriously time to put your big boy pants on.

Black lives matter, yes. All lives matter, yes. If black men didn't create the ever loving stereotype of them being hoodlums, many of these police who have to protect their lives from these same fools on a daily basis might not be so anxious or trigger happy out of fear.

She could have had "Pro Life", "Leaks", "Women" or "YOLO" for that matter written on her jersey and the results would be the same.
Would you say the same thing if she was wearing a "Fight Breast Cancer" shirt? 76ers have the right to do everything they did but in the context of the actual shirt its absolutely ridiculous to make this the hill they die on.

Lol. Americans REFUSE to have a legit conversation about race relations. It's like there's only 2 eras of black history: Slavery era and now. Lol.

No one ever mentions the black codes or Jim Crow. Just weird, I guess. Americans are funny. They move on fast because they want a clean conscience.

Fixed it for you. But you're exactly right.

They hate benign social justice movements like "We matter", because it makes them feel uncomfortable. The want history to be whitewashed and forgotten. But it's not going to happen.
